A collection of work that I have designed over time for private clients, past employers and during my education.

This client was starting up a new independent law firm and wanted a look that was professional and distinguished. I based the colors off of their existing logo and kept things pretty simple and clean. Having an area where they could post updates periodically was an important piece to include into the layout.

A fresh and clean look was something I wanted to see because it reflected the philosophy towards food and life that the website would be about. I designed it with the development being something the client wanted to create on his own, setting it up more like a blog.

This was an update to a website I had designed previously. The objective was to keep a similar look, while allowing the site to contain much more robust information. There was a listings page that the client could update on the fly and the ability to view individual listings, book showings and setup appointments directly from the site.

This was a rebrand for a insurance company who had been around for many years and wanted to modernize their look. I gave the logo an update and based on the existing colors I designed a site I felt was simple and clean, but remained professional. It was important that the site reflected a company people could trust and be comfortable dealing with.

I created this site for the wedding of my wife and I. We wanted somewhere for guests to RSVP, find out info about the wedding day and for us to share some thoughts on our family and friends. The design was based on the entire theme of the wedding, which was carried through from the invitations, to the decor of the reception, down to the color of dress for the bridal party and groomsmen.

Classy, elegant, sophisticated and simple were some of the words used by this client to describe how they wanted their website to look and feel. They had a logo idea already in mind, which I turned into a short flash intro (by request). The site also features an online booking section that users can fill out and be contacted afterwards.

This client wanted to build a brand around the logo treatment of his name. His website needed to be modern and trendy (as many houses today are) but still feel comfortable and inviting, to make users feel at ease with the process of buying and selling a home.

With an already established look to their restaurant, I aimed to build off of that familiar style and apply it online. The colors and logo can be found in the dining room, with visual elements added that re-enforce the elegant dining experience. Photos were taken by myself at the restaurant.

Simplicity was very important to this client. They wanted a website that was clear, concise and professional looking. I designed their logo to look like a street sign and continued that concept into the banners of the site. Each section uses a different type of street sign to communicate an important message relating to that page.

An old school project that was one of the first dynamic websites I had designed and developed. The purpose was to create a site that sold a product online (in this case, it was my own artwork). I kept the colors simple and used a paper theme subtly throughout.

Logo / Identity
This client had a clear vision of what he wanted already in mind. My job was to make it become a reality. I needed to represent both food and how it impacted day to day living, and there was some back and forth to get the concept just right. In the end we were able to create something that strongly encompassed his idea and philosophy for "eat life".

This logo was created for a photographer to use as water marks in his photos and on his website. He wanted to keep emphasis on his name so that it would be in mind when viewing his photos. Because of their similarity, I played with his initials as a concept to the logo design.

The client wanted to update their original logo with something that looked modern and remain professional and sophisticated. I wanted to keep the focus on the names and use the & symbol as a centerpiece for the final design.

A logo design for a realtor that wanted to build equity in his name. The client asked to have a modern look while at the same time have it feel calm and inviting. The use of his initials was also strongly preferred and ended up driving many different variations of those two letters.

A yoga clothing line needed a logo developed that would work for business purposes and to brand/badge their products with. I wanted to design something simple that if needed could be instantly recognizable without having a name beside it. I played off of the company name and used a "life line" as the concept behind the logo.

Tools: Illustrator
Using the company name as the concept, I designed this logo to directly relate to the "street" in GREENSTREET. I used text to build the shape of a street sign because I only wanted to suggest the idea of a sign and not actually use one in the logo. The green is similar to the color found on real signs.

The client wanted a very Chinese and Asian feel to the logo. I used the idea of Chinese calligraphy to create a brush stroke style in the image of the house and the lotus. To try and keep things fresh, I used a very bright pink to contrast the traditional look of the brush effect.

A fictitious film production company which uses the "Dagger" name that you see show up a lot on my website. My goal here was to create a logo and brand that could be seen implemented across various media. I wanted to design something that seemed edgy and slick but also professional and serious.

Flash
This client already had a very specific vision of what he wanted the site to look like. Using flash, I was able to translate his ideas into something that was very simple, but also engaging. Short animations helped transition through different sections of the site and a password protected "media" section was also built.

Tasks: Flash website design & development
Tools: Flash, Actionscript, Photoshop
This is the first version of my Dagger Studios portfolio site. At the time, I wanted to develop my flash skills further so I decided to create it entirely in Flash. I focused creating a distict mood and to give the user a very interactive experience.

The goal of this project was to create a seating chart that would help users purchase tickets to an event at the Saddledome. In Flash, I created an interactive map allowing someone who hovers over different sections to see seating prices for that area, as well as click to get a virtual glimpse of the view from there.
